this guy pads his annual with so much old and useless info that it risks becoming irrelevant. I don't give a crap about what some running back who graduated in 2006 did on the field in 2004. It has absolutely no relationship to this year. If Phil would just stick to the present and the MORE RECENT past he'd make his job easier, have a better publication, and save countless trees...

Agree, he tries to show how smart he is by spending most the review recapping shit from years ago. I only read the summaries in bold.

I got the power sweep for the first time last year, it was ok but I won't renew.

I do like the college preview mag, pretty good read for $9. I keep in the bathroom, read up on teams while taking a dump!

phil steele's preseason college football magazine is the best one out there. the reason you think most of it is garbage, is because he caps on trends more than most people, which isnt a terrible thing

It's a must have for the crapper floor. The newspaper just doesn't cut it with today's technology-it's all old news that I've seen on the tube or net.

i don't know if that is true. i think he is a 50% capper long term just like most people. he had a great streak of big plays 3-4 years ago, but recently has bin just as bad as he was good back then. it all evens out in the long run (years). it's easy after the fact to say fade or play someone, not so easy to do it before the fact. he has so many "clubs" that something will be winning and something will be loosing all the time.
